The Project Caraga team, led by ecoCarbon Capital, is a passionate group of professionals and international experts working together to drive climate action, community development, uplift livelihoods and create significant returns on investment through high-value carbon units. From seasoned leaders in sustainability and business, to carbon market specialists, to technical experts in carbon science and biodiversity and dedicated field and social implementers, the team brings together the expertise to manage operations, empower communities, and provide long-term financial returns for investors.

Group CEO, ecoCarbon

A senior partner at a Big 4 accounting firm with 37 years of experience, Richard brings deep experience in advising private enterprises and family-owned businesses across Asia Pacific. His background includes leadership roles in audit and advisory services, with a strong focus on governance, compliance, and long-term value creation.

Bernard Ho

Group COO, ecoCarbon

Bernard brings over 30 years of industry knowledge in Indonesia’s forestry and agribusiness sectors. His past roles include leadership in operations, land use, and compliance, with a recent focus on sustainable reforestation and landscape restoration efforts.

Sophia Ong

Group CMO, ecoCarbon

Sophia has spent over two decades in private banking and wealth advisory, working with high-net-worth clients across Asia. She has advised on complex financial transactions and held leadership roles in investment teams, with board-level experience in privately-owned enterprises.

Jose Don De Alban 

Group CTO, EcoCaraga

Don is a technical expert in forest monitoring and remote sensing, with over 20 years supporting conservation initiatives and environmental research across Southeast Asia. His work has focused on mapping, carbon data integrity, and geospatial analysis for NGOs, universities, and international companies.

Buboy Aguillon has over 20 years of work experience with national and international NGOs and a decade of work in the corporate world.  His expertise includes organizational design and mobilization, and specializes in situational analysis and risk assessment. Buboy brings extensive experience in upland development, stakeholder engagement, and sustainable livelihoods.

Anselmo Cabrera

Chief Operations Officer, CCDI

Ansel is a certified forester and environmental planner. He has managed natural resource and biodiversity programs for 30 years, including engagements supported by the World Bank, GIZ, and USAID. His expertise lies in environmental planning, project planning, conservation financing, stakeholder consultation, watershed management and environmental governance. 

Bonnie Sanchez

Chief Finance Officer, CCDI

Bonnie is a seasoned finance executive with over 25 years of progressive finance & accounting experience in multinational operations. He specializes in corporate finance, budgeting, and risk management and honed his skills at Chevron, Citi, Xerox and SGV & Co, the top audit firm in the Philippines.

Jimbo Sanchez

Chief CSR Officer, PCGI



A dedicated community advocate since returning to his hometown in Mindanao, Philippines, Jimbo has extensive experience in corporate social responsibility, marketing and communications. His leadership roles span education, disaster resilience and indigenous development. He facilitates dialogue and partnerships to uplift the lives of tribal communities. He has worked as a media consultant to ANC, History Channel and National Geographic.

Dr Lim, with over 28 years of financial experience in Asia, serves as an independent director on several boards in Singapore, Malaysia, and the US. He has worked with UBS Capital, NatSteel, Rothschild Ventures, and Singapore Technologies. Notably, he was the first non-Muslim CEO of Kuwait Finance House, Singapore and the first foreign CEO of Vietcombank Fund Management, where he raised two private equity funds for Vietnam's largest state-owned bank.

Richard Pattle, LVO

Senior Advisor, ecoCarbon




Based in Dubai, Richard served 18 years as a combat helicopter pilot in the Royal Air Force. He was Master of the Household for Their Majesties The King and Queen of the United Kingdom until 2014, when he was appointed Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order and became Vice Chairman of Standard Chartered Private Bank. He co-founded the Indian hedge fund True Beacon, serving as CEO for five years and became Senior Advisor to ecoCarbon in 2023.

Rob Evans

Founder, Earth Active and Project Caraga Consultant



The co-founder of Earth Active, Rob is a tropical ecologist by training and a specialist in financing and delivering nature-based projects at scale. He brings over 35 years of experience in international project development, much from South-East Asia, and was PWC Indonesia's sustainability and climate change technical lead in the early days of REDD+. In addition to supporting new projects, Rob also continues to work closely with the world's largest financial institutions to help them safeguard their existing investments.

Niall Marriot

Lead Carbon Consultant, Earth Active and Project Caraga Consultant

Drawing on three decades at the forefront of climate, environment, finance, and social development, Niall is a leading carbon project development specialist. As the co-founder of Carbon-Plus Capital he spearheads the innovative use of carbon finance to restore and sustainably manage vital natural carbon sinks. His deep expertise in carbon markets and cross-sector partnerships enables him to effectively bridge the needs of private investors with inclusive, impactful low-carbon development goals.
